Lloyd was a nominee for the Creative Britons award in 1998 & 1999 and also received a certificate in recognition for his outstanding contribution to the BME communities at Local and National levels from The Voice News Paper.

He was a secondary school music and sports education teacher with over fifteen years experience. He is a professional singer, who has performed internationally, including Ireland, France, Portugal, Switzerland, USA and Africa. He has also appeared with English National Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Opera North, Royal Shakespeare Company and Opera National de Lyon to name but a few.
